The Orion System

Orion is a customer information and billing system that has proven capability in the utility retail sector. Orion's architecture offers flexibility and ease of use. It is well suited to a competitive, service-focused market.

The Orion system has six major modules:

  • Orion Customer Acquisition: allows prospective customers and external sales people to generate instant quotes. The Orion Customer Acquisition module provides an interactive on-line option for utilities to promote their products and services.
  • Orion CIS: a single, intuitive interface giving instant access to all customer information for billing, pricing, call centre and credit control functions. Provides an option for a customer self-service web portal.
  • Orion Utility Billing: handles the import of meter reads, generating estimates and issuing invoices for electricity, gas, water, telecommunication and internet services in both regulated and competitive markets.
  • Orion Interfaces: supports complete integration with market hubs and administrative structures such as AEMO in Australia, ERCOT in Texas and MARIA in New Zealand. Automatically generates market transactions and manages responses, updating the database as required.
  • Orion Credit Management: automates handling the outstanding debt of all customers, including recording and allocating receipts, generating reminders, payment plans and direct debits, and interfacing with debt-collection agencies.
  • Orion Automation allows key functionality within the CIS, utility billing and credit management modules to be automated and integrated into existing business processes.
